Hart completes Torino loan

Goalkeeper signs year-long deal

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has completed his loan move to Torino.

Hart has been City's first choice goalkeeper for most of the past six years, winning two Premier League titles with the club, but Pep Guardiola's desire to have a keeper who is better with his feet saw the England international fall behind new signing Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero in the pecking order.

Sunderland. Everton and Sevilla were initially linked with the 29-year-old but one-by-lone they ruled themselves out of the running before Torino emerged as the favourites to sign the player.

Hart was given permission to leave England's training camp on Monday to resolve his club future and the 29-year-old received a hero's welcome as he arrived in Italy to undergo a medical.

After completing the formalities, Torino have confirmed the signing of the goalkeeper on a season-long loan deal.

"Suddenly my career has undergone a change and I interpreted it as a sign of destiny," Hart told the club website. "So I had to do something...The choice of Torino has come at the right time.

"I am very happy to be able to compete in a beautiful and difficult league like Serie A."

Hart will return to the England camp to prepare for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Slovakia and could make his Serie A debut for Torino at Atalanta on September 11.
