Harte waiting on McCann scan

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte is waiting to learn the extent of the knee injury sustained by Tiernan McCann in the win over Kildare on Sunday.

McCann was injured in injury time of the Red Hands' Allianz Football League Division 1 win and is a doubt for the Dr McKenna Cup final against Donegal.

Tyrone are due to face Monaghan in the Allianz Football League on Saturday, February 24, live on eir Sport 1, and Harte admits he is concerned about the Killyclogher clubman.

"It is a bit worrying for us. He hurt his knee in the last few minutes and he had to come off," Harte is quoted as saying in the Irish Independent.

"He does need a scan. We are hoping that it is a bang and a bruise more than anything else, but until that is confirmed by a scan we don't know what the situation is."
