Chelsea's Eden Hazard has backed Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona as one that will aid the Brazilian's career.
Coutinho moved to the Camp Nou from Liverpool in a deal worth €160m, that made him the world's second most expensive footballer, with the Catalan club hoping the 25-year-old will become the successor to their midfield maestro Andres Iniesta.
"It’s good for him. It's bad for the Premier League because he’s one of the best players in the league," Hazard said to Corrriere dello Sport.
"He’s a good guy. We played against each other a couple of times and he’s a fantastic player.
"Ok, he chose to move to Barca, it’s not a bad choice to be fair.
"I just want him to be one of the best in the world and enjoy what he can do.”
Coutinho's deal with Barcelona runs until 2023, and will net him €13.6m a season.
