Hazard wants to become a Galactico

Eden Hazard has vowed to do his best to become a Galactico following his £130million move to Real Madrid.

Hazard formally completed his transfer from Chelsea on Thursday after undergoing his medical and signing a five-year contract before being presented to 50,000 Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu.

The Belgium international, delighted the crowd by kicking gold and white balls into the stands and kissing the club's badge, admitted it was a dream come true to become a Real Madrid player but he knows he will have to work hard to become a club legend.

"My dream ever since I was a child has been to play for Real Madrid," he said.  "I'm going to try to become the best player in the world, but first I wanted to be in the best team in the world.

"I'm not a Galactico, but I'll try to be, for now I'm Eden Hazard."

Hazard had been linked with the Spanish giants last summer but he believes now is the perfect time to join the club following the return of Zinedine Zidane.

"Everyone knows Zidane was my idol growing up," he said. "That he is the coach has been an important factor but not the only one. I already wanted to play here."
