Healy out for four weeks

Cian Healy is expected to be out for three to four weeks after undergoing a scope and clear out of his right knee.

The Leinster prop limped off during the province’s Guinness PRO12 win over Munster at Thomond Park on December 27.

The 28-year-old is currently serving a two-match ban for striking with the knee in the Champions Cup clash against Toulon and it was decided that it was the right time for the operation to ensure Healy would be fit for Ireland’s Six Nations campaign.

There was some good news for Leinster coach Leo Cullen, Luke McGrath has recovered from his foot infection and Johnny Sexton has trained fully this week, with both available for this Friday’s Pro12 trip to Ospreys.
