Henshaw boost for Connacht

Robbie Henshaw will return to action this weekend in Connacht's final European Challenge Cup group game against Enisei-STM at the Sportsground.

Henshaw, who has been out of action since November with a hand injury, is therefore likely to feature in Joe Schmidt's Ireland squad for the Six Nations, which will be named on Wednesday afternoon.

Henshaw, who sustained the injury in Connacht's Pro 12 win over Munster at Thomond Park in November. has missed the previous seven matches.

Pat Lam’s side need to beat the Russian side on Saturday to have any chance of qualifying for the Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

Lam says there has been no further decision on Henshaw's long-term future, with the centre reportedly keen on a move either to Leinster or abroad when his contract with Connacht expires at the end of the season.

"That's ongoing, there's no decision on that," said Lam.
