Ander Herrera has called upon Manchester United to be more clinical in front of goal following a number of toothless performances in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho’s side face West Ham today, with only one win from six games, which came in a 3-1 in over Swansea earlier in the month, before poor results against Stoke City and Chelsea respectively.
Herrera feels the Red Devils are performing well enough to win games, but insists they need to convert opportunities into wins if they want to launch a challenge for the top-four positions.
"In football I think the most difficult thing is to create chances. To be in the third part of the pitch and getting good shots away and we are doing that." Herrera told United Review.
"So the most difficult thing is what we are doing, but now we have to score the chances, that's what football is about. So of course we have to finish better."
The former Athletic Bilbao midfielder has become a crucial part to United’s plans this season and the 27-year-old admits he is happy with how this season is panning out.
"I am playing sometimes a little bit more defensive and sometimes also a bit further forward, "I think it's good for me to be able to give some different options for the manager and the team." Said the Spanish International.
"I am happy with my development but football has no memory so you have to perform every weekend and in every game."
