Ander Herrera feels his future at Manchester United is uncertain, but has stated he will fight for his place at the "biggest club in England."
The 27-year-old signed from Athletic Bilbao back in 2014 and after an inconsistent start to life at Old Trafford, the midfielder has become a formidable part of Jose Mourinho’s side, playing a crucial role in the Red Devil’s revival.
Herrera also earned his first cap for Spain in a 2-2 draw back in November after stand-out performances caught the eye of Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui but suggests his future in Manchester if far from secure.
"You never know because if I want to keep playing for United you have to play very well because United is the biggest club in England." Herrera told Inside United.
"The club has the capacity to bring any players here so you have to always be at your highest level if you want to keep playing for this club. It's not easy but I hope I can and I will fight for it."
Now in his third season in England, the midfielder also believes that the Premier League is similar to La Liga.
"Everyone always asks me that about the differences and to be honest I don't think there is a big difference, football is football everywhere and the good players are good players everywhere," Herrera added.
"Maybe the rhythm of the game here is a little bit higher sometimes. In Spain and other countries, they think more about tactics or defending the goal, but here in England everyone wants to attack and that's good for the fans as well."
