Howe wants one more signing

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe wants to bring in one more player before the transfer deadline.

Howe believes his squad is '99 per cent there' after bringing in Jordan Ibe, Mark Wilson, Lewis Cook and Nathan Ake this summer, but he will look to bring in a 'younger talent' before the end of the month.

"We don't want to add too many more to the squad, there's potentially one position we'll look at - a younger talent," HOwe told the club's official website.

"Unless we did that deal we will stay as we are. I'm satisfied that we're 99 per cent of the way there."

The Cherries went down 3-1 to Manchester United in their opening Premier League game of the season but Howe is pleased with how his squad is looking ahead of a busy campaign.

"It's a stronger squad than last year, we have more numbers and a very good work ethic. When you recruit you have to make sure you don't lose your identity and the pleasing thing for me is that everyone has had a great mentality towards their training," he said.

"I've gone on record to say it's difficult to attract Premier League players in their prime, we've gone down a younger route of recruitment, but we're delighted with the players we've brought in, they've got great character, attitude and will be very good players for us."

Bournemouth travel to West Ham on Sunday and Howe is confident they can bounce back from the defeat to United.

"I've seen a positive response," Howe stated. "The lads came in with renewed vigour and enthusiasm after the game. When you've been in the Premier League the season it just becomes the standard.

"But that's something we've got to guard against. That novelty can give an extra one or two percent, but now we have experience."
