Ibrahimovic to sign for United

Striker confirms the news on Instagram

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced he will sign for Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic has long been tipped to join Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and on Thursday he took to Intsagram to confirm his intention to sign for the Premier League club.

Alongside an image of the club's crest, Ibrahimovic wrote: "Time to let the world know. My next destination is @manchesterunited.#iamcoming."

It is believed that the 34-year-old will receive wages in the region of £300k per week, making him the second-highest paid player at the club, just behind captain Wayne Rooney.

Ibrahimovic, who worked under Mourinho at Inter Milan, has played for has won 13 league titles during his 16 full seasons as a professional footballer , while he has scored 392 goals in 677 games.

However, he has never won a Champions League medal and his wait will go on for another year after United failed to qualify for the competition - they could only finish fifth in the Premier League and will compete in the Europa League this season. .

United have yet to confirm the news and it has been reported that Ibrahimovic must undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on the deal.
