Leicester City have completed the £25m signing of Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City on a four-year contract.
The 20-year-old Nigerian agreed personal terms with the Foxes and passed a medical at the club's Belvior Drive training complex on Tuesday, but the deal was delayed because of a financial dispute between his current and former representatives.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola sanctioned the transfer of Iheanacho, who scored seven goals last season, but City have insisted on a buy-back clause in the deal.
"It was not easy for him, I didn't give a lot of chances," the Spaniard said.
"We have an option to take him back. We believe he deserves to play at that age. That's why we decided what's best."
Iheanacho joined Manchester City's academy as a 17-year-old in January 2014, and made his first-team debut the following season against Watford in August 2015.
He netted his first senior goal against Crystal Palace two weeks later, and scored 14 times in all competition during the 2015-16 season.
Iheanacho is Foxes' manager Craig Shakespeare's third major signing of the summer, with the 10-times capped Nigeria international following defender Harry Maguire from Hull and midfielder Vicente Iborra from Sevilla into the King Power Stadium.
In other news, Leicester have rejected a £7m bid from Derby County for 23-year-old forward Tom Lawrence.
Lawrence spent last season on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town, where he scored nine goals in 34 appearances.
Lawrence, a product of Manchester United's academy, has made just one start for Leicester in the FA Cup and has made just three substitute appearances for the Foxes in the Premier League.
