Ireland's hopes of finishing fifth in the World Rugby Under 20s Championship have been dealt a blow as both Ciaran Booth and David McCann have been ruled out through injury.
Noel McNamara's side have been hit by a number of injuries in Argentina and Booth and McCann have become the latest players to be sent home for treatment.
Booth sustained a knee injury during the final Pool game against Italy on Wednesday and he will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the damage, while McCann is following the return to play protocols after suffering a head injury in the same match.
Ireland are due to play England in the fifth place semi-final on Monday with the winners set to face either New Zealand or Wales on Saturday, 22 June.
