Watford have completed the signing of defender Daryl Janmaat from Newcastle for an undisclosed fee.
Janmaat joined Newcastle from Feyenoord in July 2014 and was a key member of the Magpies defence as they were relegated from the Premier League.
Having been offered the opportunity to return to the top flight with Watford, the 37-year-old has agreed a four-year contract to become Walter Mazzarri's eighth signing of the summer.
"I'm really happy to be here, it's a new adventure for me. I was really pleased that Watford showed interest in me because I wanted to play in the Premier League," Janmaat told the club's official website.
"We [Newcastle] lost three times to Watford last season. They had a good season and I hope we can do the same again this year.
"The club is showing great ambition and wants to improve, and I want to be part of that."
As well as his 77 appearances for Newcastle, Janmaat has been capped 27 times by the Netherlands, including five at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
A statement on Newcastle's official website read: "The club wishes to place on record its thanks to Daryl for his efforts during his time at Newcastle.
