Jelavic moves to China

Nikica Jelavic has joined Chinese second division side Beijing Renhe.

Jelavic made just one Premier League start since joining West Ham in the summer and his chances of breaking into the first team diminished following the arrival of Emmanuel Emenike in the January transfer window.

The former Everton and Rangers player has now completed his move to Beijing Renhe for a fee believed to be in the region of £2million.

West Ham's co-chairman David Gold announced his departure on Twitter on Tuesday morning, writing: "Nikica Jelavic has completed his move to Chinese second division team Beijing Renhe. Good luck. Nikica. dg"

Jelavic is the latest player to move to China after Jackson Martinez and Ramires moved in recent months.
