Jesus recovering from surgery

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has undergone surgery on his right foot.

Jesus was forced from the field after just 15 minutes of the premier League win at Bournemouth on Monday and subsequent scans revealed he had fractured a metatarsal in his right foot.

He travelled to Barcelona for surgery and is said to be facing up to three months on the sidelines.

The Brazil international, who completed his move from Palmeiras in January, scored three goals in his first two Premier League starts for City, and the club will be hoping he can make a swift return from the injury before the end of the season.

More games than ever before! eir Sport will show 23 live games from the Allianz Leagues, including five triple headers. The eir Sport pack is free to eir residential broadband customers.
