Jet Setting flies to 1,000 Guineas glory

Red hot favourite Minding beaten by a nose

Jet Setting produced a superb run to take the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh

Trained by Adrian Keatley, Jet Setting led for much of the race before the Aidan O'Brien-trained Minding stepped on the gas and looked to be set to pull clear in the home straight.

However, Jet Setting, who started the race priced at 9/1 and finished a distant ninth behind Minding in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket just three weeks ago, dug deep to respond and pip the favourite at the post in a terrific finish to the race.

Saddled by Shane Foley, Jet Setting was actually supplemented for the race just last Monday at a cost of €30,000.

Now Or Never claimed third place, a massive 10 lengths behind the winner.

"It's a dream come true," said Foley.

"She's a tough little filly and the ground came right for her - she ran a blinder at Newmarket but it [the ground] was too fast for her

"Soft ground and a stiff mile was ideal for her."
