Kane keen to tie up Tottenham future

Harry Kane says he is keen to stay at Tottenham "for a long, long time" as he continues negotiations with the Premier League club over a new deal.

The England striker, who has scored 69 goals in 135 appearances for Spurs and won the Golden Boot last season with 25 Premier League goals, netted twice in the final minutes of Saturday's match against West Ham to lead his side to a 3-2 win at White Hart Lane.

The 23-year-old is set to sign an extension to his current White Hart Lane contract, which is worth around £50,000 a week and due to expire in 2020.

"I'm happy at the club," Kane said. "A lot of people are going to speculate about contracts but I am happy - you saw me out there [on Saturday].

"There's not many better feelings than being at White Hart Lane and scoring in a London derby. So yeah, I am happy at the club and want to be here for a long, long time."

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, on £80,000 a week, and midfielder Christian Eriksen, on £64,000 a week, are currently the highest earners at White Hart Lane, but Academy graduate Kane denies he is holding the club to ransom in order to achieve parity with the pair.

"We are in talks and I'm sure we will get something sorted. I'm not panicking and I'm not demanding anything as I've read in the paper," he continued.

"We're having a conversation and I have no doubts that we will get it sorted. As I say, I want to be here for a long time and I am sure I will be."
