N'Golo Kante has revealed he was persuaded to join Chelsea after being convinced he shares the same high ambitions as the club.
Just months after winning the Premier League with Leicester, Kante completed his £30million transfer to Chelsea on Saturday to become Antonio Conte's second signing of the summer.
In joining Chelsea, Kante has given up the opportunity to play in the Champions League for the 2016-17 season, but the midfielder believes he has made decision and is excited at being part of Conte's team.
"This season I discovered the Premier League championship with FC Leicester," he wrote in a statement on Twitter.
"I want to thank the leaders, my team-mates and Claudio Ranieri for this fantastic season that saw us winning the title of England. And I again thank you all.
"Their confidence and also the fans' will forever remain in my memory. And I again thank you all.
"At the beginning of the 2016/2017 new season, I chose to join Chelsea FC club. It is a great club, which has just recruited a great coach and want to reach high ambitions I share. The club's project and the coach’s speech have convinced me to join this new ambitious adventure.
“I am now waiting to see my new club and give everything for a successful summer. And season of course!!"
