Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal won silver in Women's B Road Race, adding to their time-trial Paralympic Games gold.
The Irish duo finished 59 seconds behind Poland’s Iwona Podkoscielna, who was in fine form.
Despite the horrendous conditions, McCrystal and Dunlevy showed grit and determination to pull away from the pack and open up a 20-second gap, alongside Podkoscielna.
The Poles managed to break away but the Dunlevy and McCrystal held on their second medal and were delighted with the outcome.
"I knew on the first hill we were faster than the majority of those bikes," Dunlevy told RTE.
"After all the hard work, the training and the sacrifices, it just makes it all worthwhile. Words can't explain how I feel."
