Kerry's Sheehan retires from inter-county football

The Kingdom’s Bryan Sheehan has retired from inter-county football, brining down the curtain on a career that included a haul of five All-Ireland titles.

In addition to his quintet of All-Ireland crowns, Sheehan was also on the winning side in nine Munster Championships and three National League campaigns over the course of a 14-year period in the green and gold.

Announcing his retirement, Sheehan said: "It was always a childhood dream to play for Kerry and to do so for so long fills me with great pride.

"I’ve been so lucky to play with some of the best players that the game has ever seen, and will be forever grateful for sharing an unbelievable journey with them.

"Thank you for all the memories, but more importantly for the friendships."
