Klopp relishing 'special' derby

Jurgen Klopp is relishing his first trip to Goodison Park for the 'special' Merseyside Derby.

While he has already enjoyed a 4-0 win over the Toffees, Klopp has yet to take his Liverpool team to Goodison Park after being appointed manager in the wake of last year's 1-1 draw between the two sides.

Liverpool travel to Goodison Park on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Middlesbrough, a result that took them above Arsenal into second in the Premier League table, but they will be coming up an Everton side who will be looking to build on their 2-1 defeat of Arsenal.

The German is expecting a battle between the neighbouring clubs and he has revealed he has prepared for the game by watching Creed, which featured Goodison Park.

"For me it's really special because it's my first time at Goodison Park. Yesterday, I watched the movie Creed - it was my first impression of Goodison Park," Klopp said.

"It's a very, very, very, very big game. The good thing around the derby is that I don't have to say a lot because everyone knows what it is. It's pretty special.

"I'm really looking forward to it, it's a very important moment in the season. Both teams lately, after the last game, are in a good mood. We watched the game together in the hotel in Middlesbrough, Everton v Arsenal.

"You could already see the atmosphere there was good, we were quite excited about the game so it was intense and good to see. It will be a real battle between two good teams against each other in my first time at Goodison Park."
