Klopp wants Allen resolution

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to resolve Joe Allen's contract situation as soon as possible.

Allen has a year to run on his current contract at Liverpool and has yet to be offered a new deal after opting to delay negotiations until the summer.

After a strong season under Klopp and an impressive Euro 2016 for Walsh, Allen is reported to have attracted interest from a number of clubs and Klopp wants the situation resolved.

"We will find a solution but it's not done," Klopp told reporters on Wednesday evening.

"Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team.

"We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works."

Allen joined Liverpool from Swansea in a £15million deal in 2012 and the Welsh club have made it clear they would be interested in signing the 26-year-old if he decides to leave Anfield.
