Jurgen Klopp accepts Liverpool need to be more clinical in front of goal following the Reds' 1-1 Champions League draw at Spartak Moscow.
The Premier League side dominated Tuesday's Group E contest at the Otkrytiye Arena, with 16 shots compared to Spartak's four, but had to settle for a second consecutive draw in Europe.
Spartak went ahead on 23 minutes through Fernando's free-kick, but Philippe Coutinho equalised eight minutes later with his first Champions League goal.
Liverpool carved out several chances through their forward quartet of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Coutinho, but were unable to secure a first Champions League away win since 2009.
Liverpool have now had 119 shots in their last five matches in all competitions, compared to their opponents 38, but have won just one of those games, the 3-2 Premier League victory at Leicester on Saturday.
"We created lots of chances and could have created more. We tried with all we have and the effort was great," Liverpool manager Klopp told BT Sport.
"We have to be more clinical, but that's the way it is. We have to keep doing what we are doing; there were enough chances.
"It's crazy to have that many chances and not win the game."
Liverpool have now gone seven games without a win in the Champions League, with Tuesday their fourth consecutive draw in the competition, and skipper Jordan Henderson agrees with his manager's assessment that the Reds need to be more "ruthless".
"It's disappointing. We controlled from start to finish, should have won comfortably and will be disappointed going home," Henderson told BT Sport.
"The chances we created, we have to win the game comfortably. We have got to make sure we don't give goals away.
"In the worst-case scenario, it should be 1-0. On another day, it could have been three or four.
"The performance was decent but not enough to win the game. We have to finish teams off and be more ruthless."
