Everton boss Ronald Koeman has admitted Europe is a realistic target for his side following their 3-0 win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
A second half hat-trick from Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and a stand out performance from new signing Yannick Bolasie helped the Merseyside team up to third in the Premier League, sitting on ten points after four games played.
The former Southampton boss also spoke of how important Lukaku’s trio of goals were.
"In the second half we kept the ball much better and created goals and still we had more opportunities to score,” Koeman told the BBC.
"The hat-trick was important for the boy himself – the press is talking about the long time since he scored for Everton and I said to him it is always best to answer on the pitch
"He is a great player, a target player and you need goals to win games and he impressed.
"I know the quality of players, we are very strong and had some good signings, I think Europe is a realistic target. The start is very good but it is only after four matches."
Everton will look to add to their already impressive tally when they face Middlesbrough on Saturday.
