Koeman ready to bring Depay to Everton

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has set his targets on bringing Manchester United’s Memphis Depay to Goodison Park in the January transfer window.

Depay joined United from PSV in the summer of 2015 but has failed to nail down a first-team slot, making only seven appearances in the first team this season.

Jose Mourinho is believed to be ready to sell the Dutch forward this season with his contract due to run at the Manchester club until 2019.

Commenting on the potential transfer, Koeman said: “I would love to have him in my team at Everton. He is a very interesting player in my opinion.

“He has a lot of individual quality, is always dangerous going forward and is pretty efficient as well. He just needs to get regular playing time again.

“I already wanted him at Southampton in 2015, but he picked Manchester United at the time, which was a logical choice.”
