West Ham will be without Manuel Lanzini for up to five weeks, manager Slaven Bilic has revealed.
Lanzini had been due to represent Argentina at the Rio Olympics but he was forced to withdraw from the squad due to a knee injury.
The problem, which the winger sustained in training, will keep him out for up to six weeks, ruling him out of the Premier League games against Chelsea and Manchester City.
"Unfortunately for us, Manuel Lanzini's injury is a blow," Bilic told reporters ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash against NZ Domzale at the Olympic Stadium.
"It's not a big injury but he can't play for the next four or five weeks."
West Ham will also be without Aaron Cresswell for the first four months of the new season.
