West Ham expect Manuel Lanzini to be sidelined for up to six weeks with a quadriceps injury.

The attacking midfielder, who is on a season-long loan from Al-Jazira Club, was forced to miss Saturday's Premier League draw at Manchester United after picking up the injury in training.

He underwent a scan on Monday and is facing up to six weeks out, which will see him miss the busy Christmas and New Year period.

"West Ham United can confirm that Manuel Lanzini could be ruled out for up to six weeks with a quadriceps injury," a statement on the club's website read.
