Owen Williams kicked a last-minute penalty from 52 metres to give Leicester Tigers a 18-16 victory over Munster in the Champions Cup at Welford Road.
Munster were down to 14 men following Simon Zebo's yellow card, when Niall Scannell'’s late try, converted by Tyler Bleyendaal, gave Munster a 16-15 lead with four minutes to go.
But Munster's chance to notch up back-to-back victories over the Aviva Premiership giants following last week's 38-0 win at Thomond Park were dashed, when Williams held his nerve to kick over the last-gasp penalty and keep the Tigers' Champions Cup hopes alive.
Glasgow lead Pool One on 13 points after their 23-7 victory over Racing on Friday, two points ahead of Munster with Leicester third on eight points.
Leinster director of rugby Richard Cockerill, who was scathing about his players' performance in the Tigers' record European defeat at Thomond Park last weekend, insists he is not worried about speculation over his future at the club.
"I don’t know how much time I have – you will have to ask the chairman about that,” he told BT Sport 3.
"We have had a good performance but that doesn’t change anything – that is a performance we should expect.
"I think the manner of the defeats we have suffered this season is the key bit that has hurt everybody.
"But I am not going to worry about that – I will go home tonight and worry about Exeter next week.
"If I get sacked because I am not good enough, I get sacked and I will go and find another job. That’s life."
Munster Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus had no complaints about the result or the yellow card for Zebo in the final stages for a late tackle on Adam Thompstone.
"That was not the reason we lost the game - we will accept it," said Erasmus.
"On the day they deserved it - it was a great game of rugby.
"Last week we were 100 percent on our game and they were a little off theirs and if you are a little bit off your game at this level then that is what happens.
"They beat us home and away last year so we always knew this game could go either way."
