LImerick have added youngsters Colin Coughlan and Cathal O'Neill to their senior hurling squad, but will have to do without defender Paddy O'Loughlin for their Allianz Leagues opener against Tipperary this Saturday (LIVE on eir sport 1 from 5.15pm).
A member of last season's league and championship-winning squad, O'Loughlin has opted to step away for a while for personal reasons.
Limerick will also be without veteran Tom Condon who announced his retirement earlier this year after 12 seasons with the senior squad.
However, Richie English and Mike Casey will both be available for selection after recovering from cruciate injuries.
Manager John Kiely has moved to bolster his panel by calling on Ballybrown clubman Coughlan and Crecora-Manister's O'Neill for the first time.
Both Leaving Cert students, the highly-rated pair won Munster minor honours in 2019 where O’Neill posted 0-9 in the provincial final win over Clare.
Doon pairing Tommy Hayes and Barry Murphy have also been included in the panel.
Murphy, who came off the bench to score a goal in the 2018 Munster championship win over Tipperary, also skippered his club in last season's county championship final loss to Na Piarsaigh .
