Liverpool are confident the redevelopment of Anfield's Main Stand will be completed in time for the club's first home game of the 2016-17 season.
The Reds will travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Liverpool on the opening weekend of the campaign but are scheduled to host Burnley at Anfield on August 20.
It has been speculated that Liverpool could request the game be switched to Turf Moor if redevelopment works run over schedule, but as yet there has been no contact between the two clubs.
When the redevelopment is complete the capacity of the Main Stand will increase to 20,000, which will see the overall capacity climb from 45,522 to 54,000 to make it the fifth biggest stadium in the Premier League.
