Lovren ruled out for a month

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has been ruled out for a month with the knee injury he sustained against West Brom.

There were fears Lovren had suffered significant knee ligament damage when he was stretchered off during the 2-2 draw with the Baggies. He was later photographed leaving Anfield on crutches but the club were forced to delay a scan until the swelling had subsided.

Fortunately for the centre-back, he has been told he escaped serious injury and will only miss about a month.

Manager Jurgen Klopp will be without the player for the upcoming Premier League games against Watford, Leicester, Sunderland, West Ham and Stoke as well as the FA Cup third round tie with Exeter City.
