Irish golfer Shane Lowry carded a bogey-free third round 65 to take a share of the lead in the Turkish Airlines Open at the Regnum Carya Golf and Spa Resort.
The Offaly-man has not won since the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio, but turned around a six-shot deficit to halfway leader Nicolas Colsaerts and goes into the final round tied with Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnat on 14-under par.
Ireland's Padraig Harrington, playing on an invitation after failing to qualify in his own right, rolled back the years and is two shots behind after a seven-under 65, sharing third with Race to Dubai contender Justin Rose (64) and Colsaerts, who had a miserable two-over 73.
First prize at the Turkish Airlines Open is 985,495 euros.
Lowry hit the turn in 31 after birdies on the par-three 2nd and 6th holes and also the par-five eighth. On the back nine he had successive birdies at the 11th, 12th and 13th, but missed out on several other birdie chances to take an outright lead.
He told Sky Sports: "In the last 12 holes or so I was hitting the driver lovely. It was nice out there, I really enjoyed it.
"This is a difficult course if you don't hit it straight. There is a lot of trouble in the pines and the rough. You have to play good for birdies so it focuses you on making good shots."
Asked if he could draw on his three previous Tour wins, Lowry said: "I don't know, to be honest. It was such a long while ago since I won and can't remember back that far but hopefully when I am out there tomorrow something will come back to me and I will get the job done.
"It will mean a lot if I win. I will have a nice evening, get up tomorrow and do the same things I've been doing every day and play the best I can and if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, that's golf."
