David Luiz looks set for a move to north London after Chelsea accepted an £8m offer from rivals Arsenal for the Brazilian centre-back
The Gunners are expected to sign the 32-year-old on a two-year contract before the transfer deadline closes later today.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has moved quickly to plug the gap left by the departure of Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux last week and the Brazilian, who also spent a couple of seasons at PSG, will undergo a medical today.
Luiz spent six-and-a-half-years at Stamford Bridge over two spells, making 160 Premier League appearances and scoring eleven goals.
Although Chelsea are banned from bringing in new players until the end of January 2020 following an investigation into their signing of foreign under-18 players, the club have also released fellow defender Gary Cahill who has since signed for Crystal Palace.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are also expected to complete the signing of left-back Kieran Tierney from Celtic after the clubs agreed a £25m fee.
