Lukaku hints at summer move

Everton striker wants champions League football

Romelu Lukaku has fuelled speculation that he may leave Everton this summer after admitting he wants to play Champions League football next season.

The striker has been a huge hit since moving from Chelsea to Goodison Park for £28m in 2014, catching the eye this campaign by grabbing 25 goals.

The Belgian has been rumoured to be a target for Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain while expected incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is believed to be a fan.

Lukaku's father has said his son should join Utd or Bayern at the end of the season but the 23-year-old wasn't as specific about his plans.

"That [Champions League football] is the next step for me," he said. "I'm 23 next summer and I think it would be nice to play in the Champions League from next season.

"That is my dad's point of view; I think those are the teams he likes. It means people are keeping an eye on you.

"I have an agent who is dealing with this for me at the moment. I just want to be good, help my team-mates win games and score lots of goals.

"I don't think I have anything to prove against them [Chelsea]," he continued. "I moved on, they moved on.

"It was the best deal for both teams because they won the league and I became a better player so we will see what the future brings."
