Lynch set for Patrickswell return

Cian Lynch is expected to start Patrickswell's Limerick club hurling quarter-final replay against Ballybrown on Saturday.

The 21-year-old suffered a quad muscle injury during his side's Limerick SHC win over Cappamore on 26 August, and was only fit enough for a place on the bench in last week's 0-18 to 1-15 draw at the Gaelic Grounds.

The winners of Saturday's game, which is live on eir Sport 2 [throw in 4.45pm], will play Kilmallock in the last four.

Na Piarsaigh, seeking win their fourth Limerick title in seven years, play Doon in Saturday's semi-final, which is also live on eir Sport 2 [throw in 3pm].

Doon beat Adare by 14 points in last Saturday's quarter final, while 2016 All-Ireland Club Championship winners Na Piarsaigh   qualified automatically as group winners.

Missing the Championship already? eir Sport will broadcast up to 30 games from the AIB GAA Football and Hurling Club Championships in 2017. Coverage continues on Saturday, 23 September on eir Sport 2 with the Limerick club hurling championship semi-final between Doon and Na Piarsaigh [throw-in 3pm] and the quarter-final replay between Patrickswell and Ballybrown [throw in 4.45pm]. Later on in the evening, Kilcar take on St Michael's in the Donegal club football championship semi-final [throw in 7.30pm].
