Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says Michael Carrick, Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini are all likely to miss Saturday's Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
Paul Pogba is not expected to make an early recovery from a hamstring injury so Ander Herrera is likely to partner Nemanja Matic in midfield against bottom-of-the-table Palace at Old Trafford.
"I think Carrick has no chance," he told BT Sport.
"I think Jones, I have many doubts, and Fellaini, I have a hope but just a hope."
France forward Anthony Martial also faces a late fitness test after coming off after 72 minutes of the 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow with a slight niggle.
"It was a pity he couldn't play for 90 minutes because I was ready to leave him on the pitch for the whole game."
The 21-year-old was man-of-the-match in the win against CSKA, and Mourinho was impressed with the contribution of a player who was on the fringes of the first-team squad last season.
"I think the game adapted to his qualities, the way we play adapted to his qualities too," Mourinho said.
"He had a lot of freedom and lots of support and lots of quality around him too. His contribution was good, but he couldn't play 90 minutes."
