Liverpool forwards Sadio Mane and Danny Ings will resume full training at Melwood on Tuesday following long-term knee injuries.
Mane has not featured for Liverpool since suffering knee cartilage damage in the 3-1 Merseyside derby win over Everton on 1 April, while Ings missed most of last season with knee ligament damage he sustained in training in October.
The pair will join the Liverpool squad that flies out to Germany on Wednesday for a training camp and three friendlies against Hertha BSC, Bayern Munich and either Atletico Madrid or Napoli.
And, in a further injury boost for manager Jurgen Klopp, club captain Jordan Henderson says he hopes to be at peak fitness for Liverpool's Premier League opener against Watford at Vicarage Road on 13 August.
The 27-year-old missed the final three-and-a-half months of last season with a chronic heel problem, but has featured in all four of the Reds' four pre-season friendlies and already feel close to full fitness.
"I feel as though I'm getting stronger every game. It's good to be back, I'll keep working hard and keep on going then hopefully at the end of pre-season I’ll be as fit as I've ever been," the England midfielder told liverpoolfc.com.
"I can't remember the last time I had a full pre-season so hopefully this one I can stay injury free, complete pre-season and hopefully be feeling good. Hopefully that will stand us in good stead going into the new season."
