Luke Marshall is to follow the return to play protocols after suffering a concussion in Ulster's victory over Scarlets last Friday.
The Irish international replaced with 15 minutes remaining of the 19-8 win and Ulster have confirmed that he suffered a ‘concussive injury’.
Marshall has a history of concussion - he has suffered five in the last two years - and his latest setback will do little to ease the concern over his future wellbeing.
"Luke Marshall suffered a concussive injury in the same game. He will not play against Glasgow but will continue to be assessed this week and will follow the return to play guidelines," Ulster confirmed in a statement.
Director of Rugby Les Kiss has a number of injury concerns ahead of the Guinness PRO12 clash with Craig Gilroy ruled out for up to two weeks due to the toe muscle injury he picked up last weekend, while Andrew Trimble's return has been delayed by another week because of a slight foot problem.
Jacob Stockdale and Jonny Simpson will miss the weekend's match, but Paul Marshall and Dave Shanahan have returned to training following their recent injury problems.
Elsewhere, Marcell Coetzee is expected to make his Ulster debut in January as he recovers from knee surgery, while Dan Tuohy and Tommy Bowe should be available for selection in the coming weeks.
