Ryan Mason is to remain in hospital for a number of days following surgery on his fractured skull.
Mason was injured in the 13th minute of Hull's 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge after he collided with Chelsea's Gary Cahill.
Medics from both teams tended to the midfielder before he was transferred to St Mary's Hospita where he underwent surgery.
Hull captain Michael Dawson and three club officials visited him on Monday and the club has confirmed that the 25-year-old had been talking about the accident.
"Ryan has been visited this morning at St Mary's Hospital by club captain Michael Dawson, club doctor Mark Waller, head of medical Rob Price and club secretary Matt Wild," a statement read.
"Ryan has been speaking of the incident yesterday and will continue to be monitored at the hospital over the coming days where the club will remain in close contact with Ryan, his family and the staff at St Mary's."
Cahill, John Terry and Chelsea assistant Steve Holland visited the hospital on Sunday evening to offer their support to Mason.
