Floyd Mayweather has offered UFC champion Conor McGregor $15million and a share of the pay-per-view revenue to fight him in the ring.
There have been rumours of a proposed bout between the two fighters for months and McGregor's decision to take out a boxing licence in California fuelled speculation that he could be set to meet Mayweather in the ring.
The Dubliner is taking a break from the Octagon while he awaits the birth of his first child and he has previously said that he wants $100million to fight Mayweather.
Mayweather, who retired from boxing in 2015 with a perfect 49-0 record, he has made it clear that he would only return to the ring in order to fight McGregor and he has made an offer to the UFC champion.
"We tried to make the Conor McGregor fight. They know what my number is. My number is a guaranteed $100 million. That was my number," Mayweather told ESPN.
"We are willing to give him $15 million and then we can talk about splitting the percentage - the back end - on the pay-per-view. But of course, we're the 'A side.' How can a guy talk about making 20 or 30 million if he has never made 8 or 9 million in a fight.
"Conor McGregor keeps telling everybody he wants the fight. Let's make it happen!"
When asked about a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather responded: "Only thing I'm probably interested in is the Conor McGregor fight. I'm a businessman, and it makes business sense. I believe in what me and [adviser] Al Haymon talk about every day - I believe in working smarter, not harder."
