McCloskey a doubt for autumn internationals

Stuart McCloskey has emerged as a slight doubt for Ireland's November series.

McCloskey injured his foot in the Guinness PRO12 win over Glasgow Warriors at the weekend and is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks.

Ireland are due to face New Zealand in Chicago on November 5 before hosting Canada, New Zealand and Australia at the Aviva Stadium and a four-week absence could result in McCloskey missing out on a place in Joe Schmidt's squad.

Luke Marshall is going through the return to play protocols as a result of the concussion he sustained against Scarlets earlier this month while Andrew Trimble and Tommy Bowe have returned to training with the Ulster panel.

Conor McGregor will fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt at UFC 205 in New York on November 12 live on the eir Sport pack. The eir Sport pack is free to all eir broadband customers. To learn more about setting sport free visit www.eir.ie/sport .
