Conor McGregor is predicting a first round knockout when he squares yp to Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November.
The Notorious, who is the featherweight champion, will bid to become the first fighter in the history of the UFC to hold more than one belt simultaneously.
Less than 24 hours after the lightweight championship fight was confirmed as the main event at UFC 205, McGregor was in typically bullish mood as he faced the media at Madison Square Garden, predicting a first-round win on November 12.
"I'm gonna wrap one [belt] on one shoulder and the other on the other shoulder," McGregor said. "And you're gonna need an army to come take them belts off me.
"The Irish, we built this damn town. We built this city. Now we're back, we're coming to claim what's ours. I run New York. I run this whole ship. Mystic Mac predicts, 'I'm gonna KO you inside one round.'
"He's very lucky to be in the position he's in. He understands that, and that's why he took this fight on the money he was on for his last fight. We've heard it all before. It's just another broke bum, who can't afford to pay his bills."
McGregor was placed on a six-month injury suspension following his defeat of Nate Diaz in August, but the Dubliner insists he is fit and ready for the bout against Alvarez.
"That fight was five weeks ago. I came out of that fight fresher than (when) I went in. Look at Nate's face. Nate will never look the same. I came out brand new. I had a bruised foot," he said.
