Roscommon manager Kevin McStay has accepted a proposed three-month suspension following an incident at Dr Hyde Park on Saturday.
McStay remonstrated with linesman Niall Cullen at half-time of his side’s Super8s defeat to Donegal after a number of calls went against Roscommon. He appeared to push the official, while he also threw the match ball in his direction which struck Cullen on the back of the head.
The Central Competition Controls Committee today proposed a twelve-week suspension and McStay has wasted little time in accepting the punishment.
As a consequence he will be suspended for Roscommon's clash with Dublin at Croke Park on Sunday, 5 August.
