Noel Meade wants Road To Riches to run in the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup at next week's Cheltenham Festival.
Road To Riches finished third behind Coneygree in last year's Gold Cup but the Ryanair Chase has been mooted as a potential target for the nine-year-old after his defeat in last month's Irish Gold Cup.
While the final decision will rest with owners Gigginstown House Stud, Meade believes the Ryanair Chase is too short for his stable star and is adamant he would have a big chance in the Gold Cup.
"I would hope he goes for the Gold Cup, but we're going to have to see what way they call it," Meade told the Mirror.
"I honestly don't think the Ryanair will suit him - I think it's too short.
"He got the (Gold Cup) trip very well last year. As Coneygree isn't in it, I imagine he'd have every chance of beating the second (Djakadam)."
