Simon Mignolet will start in goal for Monday's Merseyside derby against Everton, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed.
Mignolet returned to the first-team in place of Loris Karius for Wednesday's 3-0 win at Middlesbrough.
Karius was dropped after a number of poor performances and he will have to settle for a place on the bench for the visit to Goodison Park on Monday.
"I won't change each week. Simon had a really good game and he will be in goal for sure," Klopp confirmed.
Karius came in for criticism for high-profile mistakes in the 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth as well as the 2-2 draw against West Ham.
Klopp has revealed he made the decision to take him out of the 'firing line' and believes he will benefit from losing his place in the first team.
"Loris can use the time in training with no pressure. I know about how fantastic he is as a goalkeeper," Klopp explained.
"I am responsible for the boys. Sometimes it's my job to take them out of the firing line or public view. I decided for a player, not against another one.
"It's never about the decision, it's about explanation and I explained it. It's a good decision for both. That's how I see it, but it's not always the common view!
"I never make final judgements about my players as long as their attitude is good. Use the time to get in your best shape."
