Milestone cap for Herring

Rob Herring will make his 150th appearance for Ulster against Cardiff Blues on Saturday.

Herring has returned from international duty with Ireland and has been named at hooker with Andy Warwick and Marty Moore joining him in the front row.

The second row of Kieran Treadwell and captain Alan O'Connor is retained, while the returning Jordi Murphy comes in at openside flanker resulting in Sean Reidy moving to blindside and Marcell Coetzee starting at number 8.

John Cooney is named at scrum-half alongside Billy Burns with Stuart McCloskey and James Hume teaming up in the centre. Henry Speight, Louis Ludik and Michael Lowry make up the back three.

Ulster (XV v Cardiff): M Lowry; H Speight, J Hume, S McCloskey, L Ludik; B Burns, J Cooney; A Warwick, R Herring, M Moore, A O’Connor, K Treadwell, S Reidy, J Murphy, M Coetzee.
