Morgan blow for Tyrone

Goalkeeper to miss Division 2 final

Goalkeeper Niall Morgan will miss Tyrone's National Football League Division 2 final clash with Cavan due to a hand injury.

Morgan may well also be unable to take part in the O'Neill County's Ulster Senior Football Championship opener against Derry at Celtic Park.

Tyrone's first-choice 'keeper suffered what was later confirmed as a broken bone in his hand while playing for club Edendork St Malachy's away to Strabane Sigerson's.

He will certainly miss the League Two decider on Sunday week, with manager Mickey Harte set to start with Mickey O'Neill between the posts against Cavan.

The Red Hands face Derry on May 22, giving Morgan less than six weeks to recover in time for the USFC encounter.

Unbeaten Tyrone won five and drew two to finish at the top of Division 2 and secure promotion to the top flight, alongside Cavan, with the pair to meet at Croke Park on April 24.
