Mourinho coy on United rumours

Jose Mourinho expects to return to club management within two months but claims to 'know nothing' about a move to Old Trafford.

Mourinho's name has never been far from the headlines since he was sacked by Chelsea in December, with the Portuguese repeatedly linked with Manchester United, while Paris Saint-Germain were reported to be interested in bringing him to Ligue 1.

The 53-year-old has stated a desire to return to management in the summer and he is certain he will have signed a contract with a club by June 30.

"Of course I miss [it]. In July I will be back. So we are in May. May to July is nothing. I keep enjoying my life which I'm doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back," Mourinho told The Associated Press. "

When asked when he will sign a contract, he added: "June 30 - that's fine."

Louis van Gaal has another year to run on his contract at Old Trafford but his future is unclear as they look set to miss out on a top-four finish - Tuesday's loss at West Ham means they will need to beat Bournemouth and hope Manchester City lose to Swansea on Sunday to qualify for the Champions League.

United have refused to comment on Van Gaal's future and Mourinho insists he does not know about a potential move to the club.

"I don't know. I know nothing about it really. I don't have a club and I was waiting for these guys [the FIFA Legends] to win the match to give me a hand but because I lost the match [9-8] it's even more difficult to get the club," Mourinho said after coaching a FIFA Legends team against a Mexican All-stars side.
