Robbie Power has been named as the retained rider for owners Alan and Ann Potts.
Power scored a Cheltenham Festival double for the Potts as he carried the green, yellow and red silks to Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup glory aboard Sizing John after winning the Coral Cup with Supasundae.
His success at the Cheltenham Festival has resulted in him being appointed as the retained jockey for the owners, although trainer Jessica Harrington will have first call on his services.
"Robbie will be my number one and will ride for me whenever he's available," Alan Potts told the Racing Post.
"He'll ride Finian's Oscar, Fox Norton and Supasundae for me next week at Aintree.
"The thing that impressed me most about Robbie was that he told us what he was going to do before the Gold Cup and he went out and did it. I was very impressed by what he did at Cheltenham."
Commenting on his new position, Power said: "It's a fantastic opportunity and I have some very nice horses to look forward to.
"Jessica will still have first call on me and I’m still her number one, but I will ride for Alan and Ann Potts whenever I can. I'm really looking forward to Aintree and Finian's Oscar, in particular, looks really exciting."
