Young has made 227 appearances for the club since joining from Aston Villa in 2011, scoring 17 goals, and the new contract will run to the end of the 2019-20 season.

The 33-year-old follows in the footsteps of Anthony Martial, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay by signing a new deal.

During his time at Old Trafford, Young has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Europa League.
